Robert DeLanza is proof that hard work can make dreams come true- a philosophy he likes to convey to salon owners, stylists and L'anza employees. Born and raised in eastern Europe under a communist state, Robert's talents as a university-trained chemist and businessman earned him a high position within the state-owned industry. He had job security and a relatively high standard of living, but he was not content. Robert had dreams of freedom and a better life for his wife and children in the West. In 1976, after great difficulty and some danger, Robert was able to move to California. Despite having been raised and educated under communism, Robert had a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Selecting a business venture in his new home was easy. In Europe, Robert had spent seventeen years as a chemist specializing in hair and skin care products. Upon his arrival, Robert and his wife spent their evenings manufacturing professional quality hair care products in their garage. At first sign of light, Robert would load up the family station wagon and make his rounds to local salons and beauty supply distributors. While his English language skills hindered his sales efforts at first, his products soon began to speak for themselves. Hairdressers found that DeLanza's hair care and styling formulations were superior in quality and effectiveness. His reputation spread and L'anza International Inc. was born. L'anza International Inc.'s remarkable success is due in great part to Robert DeLanza's innovative, environmentally friendly hair and skin care formulas. His extensive research into the structure of hair and skin over the last 22 years has led him to many revolutionary developments, including the Keratin Bond System, a natural system of hair reconstruction that utilizes selected herbs and Keratin Amino Acids. Robert is also a good neighbor and a strong supporter of animal rights and environmental preservation. Under his directive, all L'anza products are free of all animal by-products and are never tested on animals.
